Nomedia is an innovative application designed to enhance user control over media file visibility on Android devices. The primary goal of this tool is to assist users in managing how their photos, videos, and audio files are displayed within various media-based applications, like galleries and media players.

Key functionalities include a media scanner that efficiently locates all media files, even those not indexed in the media store. Users operating on Android 11 or higher are required to manually specify the folders for scanning. It also allows for effortless creation or deletion of ".nomedia" files in any folder. When a ".nomedia" file is present in a directory, it signals the media scanner to bypass it, thus concealing unwanted media files from appearing in apps reliant on the media store.

Nomedia offers two distinct modes for viewing and managing files: a user-friendly Folder List Mode that serves as the default option, and a File Browser Mode that provides advanced file management capabilities, resembling a typical file manager.

In practice, this tool serves as a method for designating selected media files as invisible to the system's media scanner, ensuring that only desired content appears in media applications. The app provides a straightforward approach to usage: it categorizes media files scanned from the MediaStore and file system by their folders. Setting a folder to "ON" ensures that its media content remains unscanned and invisible to media store-based applications.

A word of caution: the game may exhibit compatibility issues with some devices and, in rare instances, could inadvertently lead to file deletion. Therefore, it is advisable to test the game with non-essential files or folders initially.
